Anonymous whispered, "So how are we supposed to pronounce (Kate) Chopin anyway? Is it pronounced like the composer, or is it anglicized?"

I had a teacher last year who pronounced it like the composer….but I honestly have no idea if that’s right as I’ve heard it pronounced about five different ways.

Do any Armadillos know for sure?

Anonymous whispered, "Where can I find the original of the meme you photoshopped? :)"

To make a meme, click the link in the sidebar that says “Make Your Own!”. :D

If anyone is having trouble with that, let me know. Sometimes the meme generator site goes down for days at a time…

Anonymous whispered, "Tori, thanks for fixing the sidebar! It's working great."

AWESOME! I’m so glad it worked! It took ages to figure out. O_o

I am the furthest possible thing from a master of coding.

Anonymous whispered, "Not to be nit-picky, but House, M.D. is a modern, original interpretation of Sherlock Holmes. Which is not meant to undercut the main point of your argument but thought it should be said nevertheless."

So, just posting this to say that this is a conversation that would be better suited to the forum. We don’t want to go clogging up dash’s with everyone’s two cents on the matter (which is why I had ignored the question when it first came in…).

Anonymous whispered, "QUIT POSTING EVERYTHING TWICE"

Glad to know that the first comment we get about this is in all-caps anger.

For the record, this is not our doing. There is some glitch with Tumblr’s queue, and I see no way to prevent the double-posting. The Doctor Who blog sometimes has this problem as well. If it’s annoying your dash that much, why not complain to Tumblr and urge them to fix it?

Anonymous whispered, "For being a blog dedicated to English majors, a lot of the submissions have such terrible grammar. It's actually kind of funny... Come on guys, make sure your idea would make English majors proud before you submit them to Olivia and Tori! ;)"

Awww, I almost forgot how much I missed the “Jeez guys, you had a typo/etc. in this post” asks… at least this person gets it right!

All posts are submissions. We do not edit the graphics or censor submissions based on typos/etc.

Anonymous whispered, "Do any other armadillos ever read a book that's so good, you just can't eat, because the words are too perfect and the taste and texture of food would ruin that beauty? Or is that just me?"

I don’t think I’ve ever had that but… that sounds beautiful.

Anonymous whispered, "whoa. i just found out olivia goes to college close by! i didn't think anyone knew where the UP was. hi. *forest gump wave*"

*Returning the awkward internet wave*

I always just assume that everyone knows about the phenomenon that is the UP!

Anonymous whispered, "I saw your post about how Alice in Wonderland is really about math. I knew this, but when I was discussing it with my family, I couldn't quite explain it very well. Could you please explain how Alice in Wonderland is about math, not drugs as most people assume."

Here’s a fantastic link to help you explain it!
