Who runs this place? | Your mods are Tori (blame her for starting this madness) and Olivia.
Are you English majors? | Yes!
Where do you go to school?| In Bridgewater, MA (Tori) and Marquette, MI (Olivia).
Why an armadillo? | “English Major Armadillo” sounded better than “English Major Emu.”
Why do some armadillos have a fez? | Because fezzes are cool.
Does a blog like this exist for [insert major here]? | There is a list of other blogs here. If it isn’t on the list, we don’t know of it.
How do I create my own image for another meme? | Use Meme Generator’s Advice Dog spinoff.
Can you make one that says [X]? | Go here. Put the top text into the top box and the bottom text into the top box. Press “Caption.” Right-click, save it, and go here.
Why didn’t you answer my ask?
- It was to the effect of “OMG I love this blog!” We do read them all and appreciate them very much, but we receive too many to post.
- It was a link to another meme. Again, we get too many of these to post without cluttering up dashboards, so chances are it’s been added to the list.
- The answer is on the FAQ page.
- It was trollish or offensive.
- The discussion might be better suited for the forum.
- If none of the above apply, it is probably still in the queue.
Why do you describe the image posts? We have some followers who use screen readers, which are used by people with visual impairments to render text into a friendlier format (e.g. audio). These programs can’t process the text on images, so in order for everyone to be able to enjoy the blog, we ask submitters to describe the posts in text. Thank you for understanding!
Why isn’t there credit on my submission? | The mods don’t have time to edit each post by hand. If you want credit in the description, rather than just in the user icon and in the notes, please add it when you submit.
Why hasn’t my submission been posted? | The queue is currently very long; it could take more than a week for it to be posted.
[This post] has a grammatical/spelling error. Please edit/delete/kill it with fire.| We aren’t going to censor submissions for errors. Even English majors make mistakes.
Please explain this grammar construction to me. | Ask at Fuck Yeah Grammar Questions! Also, go here for a list of grammar resources. If you’re asking about Oxford commas, read this.
Why are there ads on this page? | Since I (Tori) started this blog almost a year ago, it’s gained over 17,000 followers! Which is AMAZING! I thought, given its success and my status as a poor college student, putting an ad bar at the top was logical. No one is obligated to click it of course, and you can feel free to use an adblocker on this page altogether. But, basically, it helps me make a few extra pennies to put towards my hobbies of seeing too many musicals and dressing up like sci-fi characters. XD
OMG, you’re Doctor Who fans? | …Jelly baby?
